The Salt Test
I have always had a great passion for baking, but passion doesn't always equal perfection, at least not right away! My very first solo baking attempt was at 8 years old. I was determined to bake chocolate chip cookies. I followed the recipe exactly, but to my chagrin, I didn't know the difference between TBS (tablespoon) and Tsp (teaspoon). I proudly poured a full tablespoon of salt into the mix. Unaware of my culinary error, I shared my freshly baked, perfectly round, salt-filled cookies with my family. Auntie Joy took a bite, smiled sweetly, and simply said: "They will get better and better the more you make them."
25 Years of Craftsmanship
Since that long-ago, salty day, I have proudly learned the difference between tablespoon and teaspoon - and Auntie Joy's words of encouragement became true! I now make a truly delicious cookie! I have been baking privately for my family and friends for over 25 years.
Now, from my cottage kitchen in San Diego, California, I am excited to share my home-made treats with you. We started with our famous Colossal Cookies, but now we're known for our signature commitment to taste: the lightness of our sponge cakes, the gooey center of our fresh-baked cookies, and the melt-in-your-mouth flakiness of our pie crusts. All made with a lifetime of love.
